SUMMARY:Sean K Preston with special guest Rodney Henry
DESCRIPTION:Sun Scape Live presents Sean K Preston with special guest Rodney Henry. This rock trio will be tearing it up at State Fare on Saturday April 9th.  Rodney on from 8:00-9:00 and Preston 9:30-11:00pm.  Tickets $10.00 and on sale on Wednesday\, March 30th. \nWe accept Cash Venmo and PayPal at the door. \nSean K. Preston is an internationally touring artist from Baltimore\, MD. The band’s album “Forgive” was released on Rusty Knuckles Music and the band currently on tour\, sharing their raucous honkytonk\, dirty blues\, roadhouse rock ‘n’ roll\, and tear jerking country balladry. \nThe music of Sean K. Preston draws heavily on the influences of the classic heartbroken sounds of Country & Western music from the 1940’s – 1970’s\, the honesty of the Blues by the likes of Robert Johnson and John Lee Hooker\, the bombast of 50’s Rock’n’Roll\, the lyrical sophistication of musical poets like Leonard Cohen\, Bob Dylan and Nick Cave\, the raw energy of Punk\, and the spirituality of Mountain Gospel. His own songs range from delicate laments and lullabies to fiery sermons and confessions.

SUMMARY:Pressing Strings with the Steve Kenney Band
DESCRIPTION:Sun Scape Live presents Pressing Strings of Annapolis performing live at State Fare in Catonsville outside in the tent on Friday\, July 30th. This is an all ages show and a limited number of tickets for this event will go on sale Friday\, April 30 at 9:00am ET. Get your tickets before it sells out!\n\n\nOpening Band is the Steve Kenney Band!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Pressing Strings:\n\n\nWhat’s in a band name? A little or a lot\, depending on how deeply you want to go. \nFor Annapolis\, Maryland-based trio Pressing Strings (Jordan Sokel: Guitar/Vocals\, Nick Welker: Bass\, Brandon Bartlett: Drums)\, the guitar guy is outnumbered by the rhythm section\, but it all started back when Sokel\, as a kid enamored with Dylan\, Marley\, Strummer\, Simon\, and Withers\, learned to simultaneously play guitar and sing his favorite songs. \nThen\, guitar in hand\, the songwriting bug took hold. \nCutting to 2014\, with the current line-up firmed up\, the band got to work developing its fanbase in the mid-Atlantic with shows from Pennsylvania to the Carolinas\, then headed into the studio to record its Owe The Source album\, released in 2015. Not easily tagged\, genre-wise\, the album deftly mixed a thoughtful soulfulness with union hall rock and roll\, and they returned to the road to show it all off everywhere from VFWs to festivals. \nRejuvenated from the band’s new energy\, the band linked up with Grammy-winning producer/engineer Scott Jacoby (Coldplay\, Vampire Weekend\, Ronnie Spector) and headed to upstate NY to record Most Of Us. Following that album’s 2016 release\, the band then toured coast-to-coast with power-pop songstress Rachael Yamagata in 2017\, along with its own headlining shows along the Eastern Seaboard. \nThe singles “Brave\,” “On The Wire\,” and “The Madness” led up to the release of the band’s latest album\, Settle In\, which was released this spring. The band is now hunkered down writing and demo’ing for its next project. \n\n\n\n\nFor more information visit Pressing Strings at \nhttps://pressingstrings.com\n\n  \n  \nCome out and support some awesome local music. SUMMARY:The Nude Party
DESCRIPTION:It is our esteemed privilege to announce that Sun Scape Live is bringing The Nude Party to State Fare on Saturday\, July 17th! \nWith a strong 60’s Velvet Underground-style sound\, The Nude Party is one of the most premiere rock n’ roll bands in the world\, having opened for Jack White and Arctic Monkeys on tour. Their new album Midnight Manor was one of the top albums of 2020\, and songs like “Lonely Heather” and “Pardon Me Satan” were in heavy rotation throughout the year on WTMD. \nWe are truly honored to bring this world class group of brilliant songwriters to Music City Maryland! \nWe will be releasing an initial limited number of tickets on April 9th at 9:00am E.T. with the possibility of releasing more as the restrictions hopefully loosen in the near future. This event will sell out – do not wait to purchase your tickets. $20 admission \nOpening the show is a long time Baltimore favorite Sporatic Sunjam. Coming off their 2020 new album release ‘SUNJAM’\, this band’s well known high energy live performance will surely be a great addition to this lineup! \nABOUT THE NUDE PARTY: \nFormed in a North Carolina dormitory in 2012\, The Nude Party celebrates the clanging frat rock of the ‘60s. Working with early mentor and producer Oakley Munson of Black Lips\, they debuted with the Hot Tub EP in 2016. The band’s eponymous full-length debut arrived on New West Records in 2018\, and their critically-acclaimed follow up album Midnight Manor was released in October 2020. \nOriginating as an extended group of childhood friends and step-siblings who decided to start a band and then began learning to play instruments\, The Nude Party took root at Appalachian State University in Boone\, NC. The band is comprised of lead vocalist/guitarist Patton Magee\, vocalist/lead guitarist Shaun Couture\, organist/pianist Don Merrill\, bass player Alec Castillo\, percussionist Austin Brose\, and drummer Connor Mikita. Most members also sing backup. Soon after coming together\, the sextet soon moved into a lake house and started a nightly ritual of jamming in the basement. It was at a regular gig as the house band at a certain Boone party locale that the group’s practice of performing in the buff earned them a local reputation as “the naked party band.” They adopted the moniker The Nude Party just in time to move onto bookings at local clubs and bars\, where they had to perform clothed. \nIn 2014\, the band met Black Lips’ drummer Oakley Munson at a show in Charlotte. He took an interest in the group and recorded their first collection\, Hot Tub EP\, which they released in early 2016. As word of the EP’s rawness and good-times spirit spread\, the band relocated to Munson’s base in the New York Catskills and began to perform regularly in Brooklyn and the surrounding region. New West signed the group for their Munson-produced full-length debut. The Nude Party was released in July of 2018 and was heralded by Rolling Stone as “equal parts ‘I’m Waiting for the Man’ Velvet Underground and Exile on Main Street Stones.” In the year following it’s release\, the band opened for the likes of The Arctic Monkeys and Jack White. \nMunson returned to produce their follow up full-length Midnight Manor\, released in 2020. The album was met with critical acclaim\, with The Line of Best Fit saying “It’s an addictive and deeply satisfying exploration of the beauty and the pain\, the agony and the ecstasy\, and the rave up and the come down; all baked into the very grooves of every track on the album.” They are currently making plans to tour both in the US and internationally. \nhttps://www.thenudepartymusic.com/ \n  \n \n
