Music City Maryland Festival 2022 – FREE ADMISSION

August 27, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 11:00 pm

The Music City Maryland Festival to be held on Saturday, August 27th from noon until 11:00pm will feature 4 stages and 28 bands in downtown Catonsville MD 21228. The event will span between State Fare and CAA Park.  This will be a FREE ADMISSION to the public.  Bring your lawn chairs and pop up tents!  Dozens of vendors and plenty of food and beverage from the restaurants plus several Food Trucks! Each stage will offer an assortment of food vendors including some food trucks, as well as a selection of adult beverages including beer, wine and mixed drinks.  No outside coolers.

Cruisin’ Stage

The Cruisin’ Stage will be hosted by none other than Sun Scape Live! This local Catonsville business has been bringing music to Catonsville since March of 2021 and has hosted several festivals and events in multiple venues including State Fare, The Caton Tavern, 818 Market, Catonsville Gourmet, The Cube Building, Catonsville Square, and El Guapo. And just recently featured Mallow Hill and Jimmy Charles at Catonsville High School just before the 4th of July fireworks were launched.

This stage is headlined by the Reggae band Jah Works who have been bringing this beat for decades throughout Maryland.

Pressing Strings the band from Annapolis makes the journey up route 97 for a third Sun Scape Live appearance here in Catonsville to bring you the best groovy Americana style tunes. They have been featured on WTMD for a number of years as well as the performer playing before. Sneaky Heat performs for the first time at our events playing some great jams and features lead vocalist Tim Nodar of 3 Fifths.  Weather Ames will perform their original Americana style songs and right before we have Good Men Doing Nothing with their original punk style music. Work in Progress and Lisztomania have your favorite cover songs to kick things off.

This stage will also have a side stage featuring The Soundcheck Rock Academy the school from Columbia, MD. Featuring several bands that will be performing between the sets of the Cruisin’ Stage.

The Cruisin’ Stage will be located in the CAA Park and hosted by Sun Scape Live.

 

Jukebox Stage

The Jukebox Stage features an all-star lineup of Baltimore bands and is headlined by one of the greatest bands in the country from upstate New York, The Nude Party!  Playing their British 60’s pop style music with a modern day Velvet Underground flavor this band has toured with many of the best bands in the country including Jack White. They are selling out shows in some of the biggest venues in the country and are selling a ton of records.

Better Off Dead will be bringing your favorite Grateful Dead music and two of Catonsville’s best Sporatic Sunjam and The Dive Bombs will light up the stage with some great original music mixed with some of your favorite covers.
Experience, High Ridge Band and the Tommy McGee Band will jam out to some great covers spanning multiple generations.

Rebel Stage

The Rebel Stage is hosted by Catonsville’s El Guapo which serves a variety of delicious Tex-Mex foods and over 100 kinds of some world famous tequilas.

The Rebel Stage will be located in the Catonsville Square and will be headlined by one of Maryland’s best country bands Red Dirt Revolution!

Before this we have a couple bands showcasing their horn sections with The Hot Sauce Band coming up from the Eastern Shore as well as Catonsville’s own Ska and Reggae Band The Players Band.

Out of Columbia, MD we feature one of the best blues band around the Steve Kenney Band.

Some great song writers grace the stage with Rodney Henry performing his Rockabilly style music and the garage /punk rock band Super Drugs play some of their kick ass originals as well.

The Bird Daddy project from Annapolis will be kicking things off with a variety of your favorite covers.

Music City Stage

We would like to offer our warmest welcome to Catonsville the new restaurant Fishmonger’s Daughter! This new restaurant will be owned and operated by the Faidley’s family whose world famous crab cakes have been running out of Baltimore’s Lexington Market since 1886. They will be moving into the Wallpaper building as construction continues.
Hosting the Music City Stage this will be a lineup headlined by Petty Coat Junction who will bring all your favorite Tom Petty tunes and the location for this stage will be at the CAA Park right across Ingleside Ave from Farmhouse Greens.
3 local Catonsville bands perform on this stage featuring Mallow Hill, Ghost Town Radio and South Rolling.
F.T.E. will be bringing some Hip Hop and Hollow Truths will perform a great mix of originals and covers. The Wafflers will also be performing a great variety of covers.
